This is my second entry for the Picture Yourself in Wonderland contest.
I'm wearing a Gunne Sax dress that I wanted specifically because of the storybook quality of the light blue with pearls and white lace. Over it is one of my waist-cincher/underbust corsets ~ The one that has a green print on the one side and the cream you see here on the other. (You can see this and other corsets in my gallery) The cameo necklace was given to me by my mother who had received it as a gift from a former teacher. The second necklace is the Alice in Wonderland licensed "Drink Me" bottle necklace. My mother found the Alice mask at some point and gave it and a Red Queen counterpart to me as gifts. The elephant teapot is, aside from being one of my favorite things, an object left at my house when I was very young by my first ever drawing teacher.
The giant Queen of Hearts card in the background is made of carved and painted solid wood. It used to be one of the doors to a game store in a local mall, and by some miracle I got a hold of it!
Though you can't see it, my bedroom is, in fact, entirely black red and white Alice themed; and once a local store is finished with the panoramic Alice posterboard things they got for promotion, I'll be putting them up behind my bed, between big stripes of red and black accompanied by many little images of the card suits.
