Red Gypsy - Back

Here's a number of back views of the black and red gypsy outfit I made for myself to wear to Ren Faire. It's all red and black because the LARP team I belong to's colors are black and red.

I didn't make the blouse, though. Just modified one my grandma gave me. I like making the little vests and arm thangers.

I modeled the armbands off of the ones that a company I love makes and sells - Moresca. They have a store at the Faire. They actually also have vests like the one I made, too. I love their stuff, but it's on the pricey side, so I decided to make some myself. I don't think I'd ever sell these items though, because I'd feel like I'm ripping off their designs...

The vest has a toggle closure on the front, and as you can see laced-up eyelets on the back. The armbands are laced up with elastic, which was run through the loop on a bell to cinch it and help it stay put. The ends of the red fabric of the 'sleeves' and ends of some of the skirt have bells on them, too. This is quite a fun and noisy costume.
